31st Aug 10	Subscriptions
	Just to let everyone know that Sarah Chapman is only just starting out on the process of subs collection for the forthcoming season, from both clubs and individuals. This is later than has been the case in the past, but don't panic if you haven't yet heard from her - all subs paid during last season are valid until the end of September. Those umpires who pay via their website expenses should be contacted to confirm this will continue to take place - again don't worry if this whole process takes another couple of weeks. Emails and letters will be on their way
30th Aug 10	NEW RULES - FIH and EH announcement
	The FIH made this announcement a few days ago!!! The EH and others are introducing the new rules from 1st September 2010 so all umpires have to look at them quickly. The changes come into force for International matches from 1 January 2011 but England Hockey and others have taken the decision that they will become live on the 1st September 2010. The FIH usually re print the rule books every 2 years but were late in 2009 because they were still trying to work out the self pass rule. That is why there will be a new rules book coming out again this season. These will be distributed when available to all paid up KHUA members.. 	Message from Graham Clench on behalf of Sid Clench Sid and Ron's family would like to express their deepest gratitude to all members who attended Ron's Funeral and offered their support and encouragement at this very difficult time. We also appreciate the very kind thoughts in the cards that we received.
29th Jun 10	DETAILS OF RON CLENCH'S FUNERAL
	Ron's funeral will be held on Tuesday 6th July at 2.00pm The service will be held at St Albans Church, St Alban's Road, Dartford, DA1 1TF Those wishing to make donations to Ron's memory should make them to the Ellanor Lions Hospice, Ellanor Lions Centre, St Ronans View, East Hill Drive, Dartford DA1 1AE Everyone is welcome to the service, but funeral is for family only and afterwards people are welcome to meet up at Dartford FC, Princes Park, Grassbanks, Darenth Road, Dartford,DA1 1RT. 	I am sorry to have to report the death of Ron who died in the early hours of this morning. Ron was known to many of us and was a BIG figure in the sport of Hockey. This has been set up as part of our obligations under Child Protection. The priority for this information applies to the Junior Umpires. If you are an umpire and/or member under 18 years of age, or you know of any member umpire in this category, please send this information as soon as possible so that your record can be updated. For the rest of the umpires, this information will be added to their record if time is available (a much more gradual process).
